Pineapple cooperative farmers in Gahara sector of Kirehe District are linked to a Processing enterprise (Tuzamurane coop) for market of their fresh pineapples. These farmers have been facilitated in the organic farming practices to allow the enterprise access international markets where it sells her dried pineapples. The same initiative is being made with pineapple farmers in Mukama and sectors in

Nyagatare Districts where the farmers are also linked to Natural fruits drier company Ltd for the market of their fresh pineapples. All these initiatives are made in line with Duterimbere ONG’s mission of empowering Rwandan women to contribute towards poverty eradication. These initiatives and support is done in partnership with Oxfam.

Duterimbere ONG staff with Oxfam Rwanda Country Director and other staff and guests from Oxfam regional office in Nairobi pay a courtesy visit to the Tuzamurane Cooperative in Kirehe District. Duterimbere ONG in partnership with Oxfam has supported this cooperative in pineapple drying initiatives and linking the entreprise  with pineapple farmers for access to raw materials. The enterprise has already established market for their dried pineapple in international markets like France.
