Duterimbere Organization was established in 1987 by 29 women with the objective of promoting and recognizing the role of women in development at all levels. The organization is currently owned by 1045 members drawn across 4 Provinces and Kigali city, Rwanda. Our work is people focused, relevant to local needs, sensitive to environmental and offers pragmatic solutions to poverty eradication. We make a difference through our work in form of demonstration of viable options, share best practices and influence change to beneficiaries and other stakeholders.

In order to complement its work sustainably, DUTERIMBERE ONG also established DUTERIMBERE Micro-finance PLC Ltd in 2004 with a mission to provide suitable financial services to low income entrepreneurs mainly women to improve their social economic lives. DUTERIMBERE ONG is a member organisation to various Umbrella organisations like CCOAIB, Pro Femmes TWESE HAMWE, RNGO Forum against HIV/AIDS, and EACSOF among others, this gives the organisation an added advantage in terms of networking and capacity to implement projects/programs.
