Success Stories
Real impact, qualitative narratives, and field testimonials from women and youth across Rwanda.
Mukamana Beatrice — Gicumbi District
"Joining the Duterimbere savings group saved my family. I learned how to save, borrowed 50,000 RWF, and started selling potatoes. Today, my shop is worth over 1,500,000 RWF, and I pay my children's school fees."
Field Narrative
Beatrice was a subsistence farmer who struggled to secure basic needs for her four children. Through Duterimbere's financial literacy training, she mastered budgeting and joined a local Village Savings and Loans Association (VSLA). She took out a microloan to buy seeds in bulk, later expanding into a permanent retail store. She now employs two other young women in her village.
Uwiringiyimana Jean — Kamonyi District
"I used to think entrepreneurship was only for rich people in cities. Duterimbere gave me coding and agribusiness skills. I now run a solar-powered irrigation system that serves 12 local farms."
Field Narrative
Jean finished high school but was unable to afford university. He joined Duterimbere's vocational tech bootcamp, learning digital farm management and climate-smart irrigation. With a seed grant of 300,000 RWF, he designed a customized solar water pump system. By charging local cooperatives a small subscription fee, he has built a self-sustaining business and hired a technician.
