A district assembly meeting of Duterimbere was held in Muhanga District on June 14,2026. The distinguished guests present were the President, the First and Third Vice Presidents, and the Executive Secretary of Duterimbere. At the district level, the meeting was officially opened by Nyiratunga Iphigenie, the representative of Joint Action Development Forum in Muhanga District. There were also about 60 members in attendance, coming from the districts of Muhanga District, Kamonyi District, and Ruhango District. The assembly went well and resolved that Duterimbere should become one of the leading organizations in promoting the development of women and youth through Village Savings and Loan (VSL) groups and by supporting entrepreneurs. A staff member from Duterimbere IMF explained to the participants the different types of loans available, including those with very low interest rates, and encouraged members to take advantage of these opportunities. The participants were also informed about the new law governing non-governmental organizations and the requirements for becoming full members. During the meeting, there was also a handover ceremony between the outgoing committee and the newly elected committee. However, the positions of President and Secretary for the Muhanga committee remained vacant. The meeting began at 10:30 a.m. and ended at 2:00 p.m., after which the participants shared a meal together. Overall, the meeting was successful and proceeded smoothly.
