Veredian, an elderly woman and survivor of the Genocide against the Tutsi, has experienced a remarkable transformation after receiving support to retrofit her old and vulnerable house into a safe, modern and well-equipped home through CJP program implemented by duterimbere in partnership with trocaire. The improvements have not only given the house an impressive new look, but have also enhanced her and her family member’s safety, comfort, dignity and overall wellbeing. Today, Veredian, her daughter Uwamahoro and 2 grandchildren enjoy a more secure and dignified home, bringing renewed hope and comfort to the family members’ lives.
