On 19th June 2026 the Karongi distr. Vice Mayor in-charge of Social affairs, together with Trocaire and Duterimbere ONG team, presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Phenias’ house among other 4 houses under the "A Home, Livelihood and a Future" Programme implemented by Duterimbere in partnership with Trocaire. More than the beginning of a construction project, this milestone represents a commitment to restoring dignity, improving living conditions, strengthening livelihood opportunities and building a more secure and resilient future for the family. Through this collaborative effort, we are investing not only in a home, but also in long-term well-being, hope and sustainable development.
